Puyallup, WA – September 23, 2024 – Police Captain Keith Swank today announced key endorsements from fellow law enforcement professionals and confirmed his record-breaking fundraising efforts in his campaign for Pierce County Sheriff. Swank has raised over $104,000 total, shattering all previous fundraising records for the position.
With over 30 years of law enforcement experience, Captain Swank has dedicated his career to serving the community. His extensive background includes leadership roles in the largest law enforcement agency in the Pacific Northwest and a commitment to innovative policing strategies that enhance public safety.

About Keith Swank:
Keith Swank is a U.S. Army Airborne Infantry Veteran and Police Captain nationally recognized as a U.S. Department of Justice expert law enforcement instructor on crisis intervention and de-escalation. Over 33 years in law enforcement, he served in Seattle as the Night Duty Commander and Commander of the Metro Special Response Section (SWAT Team, Harbor Patrol, Canine Unit, and Arson/Bomb Squad). In the U.S. Army, he served in a long-range reconnaissance unit and graduated from Ranger School, Airborne School, High Altitude Low Opening (HALO), and Infantry Training. Swank is a graduate of the Northwest Law Enforcement Command College, and the University of Washington, where he earned a degree in psychology.
